Attention! Gothamist is recruiting for two positions:

1. Contributing Editor: Gothamist is looking to hire a junior-level editor. This is a paid, full-time position, mostly in-person at our DUMBO office, but days and hours may vary from a normal 9-to-5 job. Responsibilities will include writing a large volume of news, arts & events, and food posts each day, as well as editing posts written by others. You must also be comfortable reporting: calling sources, interviewing people, tracking down quotes, etc. Requirements: at least one-year of full time blogging experience, a ferocious drive and piercing wit, a deep and abiding interest in New York City, and the stamina to create 10-12 well written posts per day. 2. We're also looking for a couple more enthusiastic interns to work out of our Brooklyn office this fall and maybe beyond. Responsibilities vary widely, hours are somewhat flexible. Bloggers, journalism students, English majors, autodidacts, quick wits, and anyone with a passion for NYC and the skills to write about it are encouraged to drop us a line. No pay, but occasional perks and college credit available.
