A New Jersey woman was charged with drunk driving and leaving the scene of a crime after she high-tailed it out of Manhattan following a Billy Joel concert this weekend. One might even say she was in a Get Out Of New York As Fast As Humanly Possible State Of Mind.

Port Authority police say that 42-year-old Short Hills resident Alison Cantor was spotted in her 2015 Mercedes Benz sedan rear-ending a 54-year-old man in a 2002 Mercedes Benz station wagon on Varick Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Despite being instructed to pull over, cops say Cantor continued into the Holland Tunnel and drove toward Jersey.

She was finally stopped at 14th Street and Manila Avenue in Jersey City. The arresting officers said they detected an odor of alcohol from inside the vehicle, and Cantor volunteered that "she had just left a Billy Joel concert in Manhattan and had a few drinks." She then failed a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer test, blowing a .12 blood alcohol content.

Cantor has been charged with a DWI, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. The Billy Joel show was the 21st of his current record-breaking residency, and his 67th time playing the arena altogether.
