Three people were found dead at the Pathmark supermarket in Old Bridge, NJ. this morning. It seems that one of the fatalities was the shooter, an ex-marine who apparently killed his two co-workers and then himself.

According to the Star-Ledger, "The apparently disgruntled worker entered the store around 4 a.m. and shot two people and then himself, Old Bridge mayor Owen Henry confirmed. The gunman, an ex-Marine, had been working at the store for about two weeks, Henry said. The man, whom he did not identify, had been working at the store Thursday night but left and came back a short time later. He was armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and an automatic pistol."

The gunman was 24 while the victims were an 18-year-old woman and 23-year-old man. NBC New York learned that the suspect had been arguing with co-workers—the store opens at 6 a.m.—and then left the store: He "returned a short time later carrying an AK47 and a handgun. Employees saw what he was doing and locked the door, the source said, but the gunman shot out the windows and went inside, killing two people. He then killed himself."

A friend of the female victim said, "She has a heart of gold. She was just beginning her life. She always had a smile on her face and now some clown who is thrown away by society takes her life. Let's all just pray for all of them."
