Assemblyman Neil Cohen, a 17-year NJ State Assembly veteran, resigned yesterday as investigators continue to investigate charges that child porn was found on his office computer. Apparently, a staffer at his offices, which he shares with State Senator Raymond Lesniak and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, found a printout of a nude girl. The staffer alerted Lesniak and Cryan, who then contacted authorities, and another staffer mentioned they had "seen an inappropriate image on Cohen's computer screen." Now NJ lawmakers are asking for filters on legislative computers. NJ Governor Corzine said, "All of us who have worked with (Cohen) are shocked by the reports," but also added, "Creating, distributing and using child pornography should be pursued vigorously by law enforcement."
