The Star-Ledger reports NJ Deputy Assembly Speaker Neil Cohen is under investigation for suspected possession of child pornography, "according to two of his Democratic colleagues who said they brought the matter to the attention of law enforcement." Cohen shares offices with State Senator Raymond Lesniak and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan; a staffer apparently found an image on Cohen's computer and told Lesniak and Cryan. They issued a statement saying, "We know him as a compassionate caring individual, but if the allegations prove true, clearly there was a side to him neither of us knew." Cohen, who has served 17 years in the NJ State Assembly, was taken into a hospital for psychiatric observation after computers were seized from his office.
