Nothing soothes a Summer Friday hangover quite like absolute and utter morning commute chaos on four major subway lines. And today, sad and miserable commuters, you're in luck—thanks to what appears to be power loss at the Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum 2,3 station, the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains are fucked to all hell.

For a while this morning there was no 2,3,4 or 5 service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, with some southbound 2 trains terminating as early as Times Sq-42 St and some southbound 4 trains are terminating as far north as 149 St-Grand Concourse. Service has now resumed, with "extensive" delays. You know what that means.

Naturally, this is backing up service on the 1 and 6 trains as well as the few express trains that are running, and people appear to be unhappy.

You'd expect the Twitterverse to full of similar despair, which is understandable, considering the 4 and 5 trains are the most overcrowded in the system, and nothing good can come of such failure. But it appears something bad also happened on the L, which is where the Tweets have gone:

Anyway, the A is running fine, so today might be a good day to skip work and go to the beach.

If you found this commute frustrating, tell your state representatives and Governor Cuomo to stop robbing the MTA of badly needed funding and figure out a way to come up with more cash for a 21st Century transit system.
