After the police shut down West Chelsea nightclubs Crobar and Sol last week, the two clubs have reopened after court hearings.
The two clubs had been shut down for different drug issues, violence, and serving underage drinkers, but the nutty thing that the Post reported last weekend is that when the NYPD raided Sol, police found "two men in the DJ booth rolling a marijuana joint with coke out in the open." Sol issued a statement shortly after the shutdown that explained the two men were hired by a promoter and were not Sol employees: "Sol is committed to being a good neighbor and a nightclub where people can come a have a safe, orderly and legal time enjoying the benefits of New York's nightlife industry."
Crobar reopened on Wednesday while Sol reopened last night. But we bet the NYPD will be stationing undercover cops there. And just think what'll happen if bottle service has waiters and hair-straightening irons are placed in bathrooms!
