One World Trade Center is the tallest building in NYC, but two months ago, it was announced that cladding was going to be removed from around the antenna, potentially jeopardizing the building's bid to be the tallest in the country. Now there's a rendering of what that will look like.

The Port Authority released new renderings of the images, and the Wall Street Journal posted one noting that they "aren't dramatically different from the past renderings" but do show changes, like the "recent removal of the casing around the tower’s 408-foot antenna mast (which angered the building’s architects and sparked debate over whether its height will actually be counted as the symbolic 1,776 feet it sought to achieve at the top of the mast) and a revamped base" as well as the fact that they "don’t include 2 World Trade Center and 3 World Trade Center."

In other World Trade Center construction news, the Port Authority is sending spies to bars to catch construction workers drinking on the job.
