A woman was found naked and unconscious on a sidewalk in Bedford-Stuyvesant this morning, according to police. She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Cops say the unidentified woman was found at around 5:15 a.m. this morning outside 398 Tompkins Avenue near Jefferson Avenue. According to authorities, she was unconscious and unresponsive, having suffered trauma to her head and to her back. She was transported to Interfaith Hospital and pronounced dead.
The NYPD says the investigation is ongoing, and the medical examiner is expected to determine the victim's cause of death.
