Yesterday's deadly naked knife rampage in Washington Heights has claimed a second victim. A 60-year-old woman, who was a neighbor of 23-year-old alleged assailant Christian Falero and whom he is said to have stabbed in the eye and chest, died earlier today. Meanwhile, the son of the one of the victims has told reporters that the reason Falero went mad was a simple one: yesterday's earthquake.

"He was screaming, 'It's the end of the world!'" Edwin Rivera, whose 84-year-old mother was stabbed eight times, told the News and the Post. "He was under the influence of the earthquake. That's why he did what he did."

Falero, who some say was on meds (or off of them in yesterday's case) and at least one neighbor claims was "always high," is said to have gone on a stabbing spree in his apartment building yesterday afternoon, about two hours after the quake. He allegedly knocked on neighbor's doors and then stabbed those who answered. Finally he wandered outside, still naked and stabbing himself with a ten-inch blade while begging the police to kill him. After a psychiatric evaluation last night Falero has reportedly been charged with at least one count of murder.
