The Daily News follows up on the Muslim woman who slashed her husband's throat, apparently over his lack of devotion to Islam and his forcing her to eat pork, wear short skirts, and drink. Rabia Sarwar's handwritten confession stated, "I did not sleep. I started thinking to kill him," and then she went to the kitchen to get a knife.

A half hour later, she attacked Sheikh Naseem, her husband of five months, "I tried my best to cut his throat." She also wrote, "I am the one who has to suffer. I am ready for it." Naseem managed to grab the knife from Sarwar and was treated for "surface wounds." Sarwar also said Naseem, who is half Pakistani and half Norwegian, claimed he was Muslim while he was really Unitarian.

The 37-year-old, who was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession, was released on $25,000 bail. Her lawyer said that Naseem 'was a cruel person, he preyed on her" and added "he literally threatened to have her parents mutilated."
