At least three people were attacked and robbed in separate incidents in Central Park last night.
The first incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the vicinity of W 63rd Street and West Drive, at the rear of Heckscher Playground. Police say that a 17-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were confronted by a group of 15 men and women, including one person who was armed with a Taser and one with a knife. They muggers cursed at the victims, then one punched the female victim in the face and threw her to the ground. Both people had their cellphones stolen.
In a separate incident, a 45-year-old man was walking along the 81st St. Transverse around 1 a.m. when he was attacked by a suspect. Cops say the suspect, who was wearing green pants and had dreadlocks, chocked the man, pointed a gun to his head, then took his wallet and backpack and fled.
No arrests have been made in either case. Cops say both investigations are still open.
