MTA Chairman Joe Lhota's last official day as Lord of the Subway is Monday, and, for pesky legal reasons we've previously explained, he'll likely stay silent about the his mayoral campaign until then. At today's Subway Time press conference, he declined to address a possible run, telling reporters, "We're not here to talk about politics."

But just because the Chairman's keeping quiet doesn't mean you should toss the Lhota '13 T-shirt you handmade out of that H train gear. Old boss Rudy Giuliani's a big fan, and he's reportedly already started herding the Lhota fan base, reaching out to GOP bigwigs on Staten Island for support.

Run or no run, today's presser was likely Lhota's last as chairman, and he got a little wistful towards the end. "If you see a nice subway worker today somewhere along the way, do me a favor. Thank him for for me. Or her for me," he said.
