The MTA bus driver who was caught on camera peering ever so casually at his cell phone while operating an Staten Island-Manhattan express bus this week has been suspended, according to the MTA.

A passenger spotted the driver—who was operating an X22A bus into Manhattan from Staten Island—looking at his phone while cruising down the New Jersey Turnpike during Wednesday night's torrential rainstorm. She sent a half-minute clip to the SI Advance, who picked it up and shared it with THE WORLD, and now the MTA says they're suspending him for 20 days without pay.

The driver has been with the agency since 1993; this is his first phone-related offense. The MTA has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to texting and driving, so if he's caught again, he'll be fired.
