After a prominent Mount Sinai urologist was busted for upskirt photography and a Mount Sinai cardiovascular tech was accused of watching porn in the operating room, the NY Post is wondering if there's something about the hospital that makes workers particularly deviant. One employee who was interviewed standing outside the hospital had a simple explanation for the tabloid: “People here are horny." Yeah, unlike those frigid prudes over at New York Presbyterian.

Another Mount Sinai employee, a nurse, tells the tabloid, "Oh my God, you have so many perverts walking around here." The latest allegation, which surfaced yesterday, emerged out of a lawsuit accusing a technician of enjoying porn on his smartphone in the same room where patients were under the knife. The technician, who is responsible for monitoring the sophisticated heart-and-lung equipment that keeps people alive during surgery, allegedly had a porn habit so "commonplace [in the operating room] that other perfusionists routinely joked about his behavior."

To be sure, Mount Sinai isn't the only hospital in town where illicit conduct has been reported. We'll never forget that one fine day at Memorial Sloane-Kettering when we found a big fat bag of weed on the floor outside one of the pharmacies, and promptly turned the contraband over to the proper authorities.
