A father and son were struck by a car after a driver ran a red light in Crown Heights on Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. at the corner of Crown Street and Brooklyn Avenue. The 47-year-old father and his 11-year-old son were crossing the street with the light when a driver ran through a red light and collided with another vehicle. That vehicle then slammed into the pedestrians. You can see video of the incident play out below.

A police spokesperson confirmed both victims were taken to Methodist Hospital with minor injuries.
An NYPD spokesperson said that no charges had been filed against the driver, and declined to elaborate further. "With everything going on with packages and bombs, we're not going further into this because no one was likely to die or seriously injured," the spokesperson added.
