A 41-year-old mother-of-six was fatally struck by an MTA bus driver in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon.

Police say the incident happened around 4:50 p.m., when victim Rukhsana Khan was struck by the 47-year-old BM1 bus driver as she crossed Ocean Ave. between Ave. J and K in Midwood. Cops note she was "outside of the marked crosswalk." She was transported to New York Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

"The lady was in the middle of the street crossing," William Bizaldi, a neighbor who witnessed the incident, told the News. "I heard like a boom and she looked like a plastic doll when she got hit."

Police add that the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad (CIS) is investigating the incident, but no criminality is suspected. The driver stayed at the scene and has not been charged.

In a separate incident, a 54-year-old man was fatally struck by a 20-year-old sedan driver as he crossed the street in Queens last night. The man, whose name has not been released, was struck as he crossed Starr Ave. at Van Dam St. in Long Island City around 9:20 p.m. Cops note the victim was in the marked crosswalk.

The News reports, "The driver of the car, which had a shattered windshield and a large dent on the hood, remained at the scene. He was not immediately charged and it was unclear who had the right of way."

Cops tell us no charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
