Mother Narrowly Rescues Baby From Out-Of-Control Cab

A mother rescued her baby from underneath a cab after the driver passed out behind the wheel, NBC reports.

The 17-year-old mother grabbed her baby shortly after her stroller was struck on Prospect Avenue in the Bronx around 12:45 p.m.

Both the mother and her 1-year-old were taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. The cab driver was also taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from unknown causes.

“His eyes were rolled back in his head and he was grasping for air,” a witness told the Post. “The paramedics got him out and started CPR but he had little chance of survival.”
