One woman was killed and another wounded in a shooting in East Flatbush this morning, and investigators believe the shooter was the slain woman's 70-year-old brother. According to the police, the shooting occurred around 9:50 a.m. this morning, at an apartment on East 25th St. near Avenue D in Brooklyn.
The first victim, a 63-year-old woman, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. The other, her 37-year-old daughter, suffered a non-life threatening graze wound to the head. Cops say the gunman was the elder woman's brother. He was arrested at the scene, and was reportedly arguing with the two women before pulling a gun on them.
Roslyn Hunter, who lives next door to the victims, told NBC News that the alleged gunman lived in the basement; cops believe the women were trying to evict him. No charges have been filed yet, and officers are still investigating the incident.
