A Brooklyn mother was allegedly slashed in the face this week by another woman after her child vomited on an MTA bus.

According to police, the 31-year-old victim was riding a city bus through East New York on Tuesday afternoon when one of her kids became sick and vomited.

The bus was soiled and taken out of service, the MTA confirmed, apparently angering another passenger, who followed the family as they got off at Elton Street and Sutter Avenue.

The passenger then allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the mother in the face. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital with a laceration, according to police.

The alleged assailant fled the scene in a black Toyota Camry and has not been located. Police released a grainy surveillance photo of the woman, showing her wearing a fur coat and baseball cap.

A spokesperson for the MTA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this female is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
