We are looking at a mostly dull weather scene for the first half of the week. Sun should dominate today and the high will be near 80, which is 5-10 degrees cooler than today's forecast high for Fairbanks. Temperatures will be cooler along the shore once the sea breeze circulation gets in gear.
A weak upper level disturbance looks like it will skirt the city this evening. The disturbance is probably only strong enough to produce a few clouds, but there's a slight chance of a scattered shower in the evening.
High pressure arrives tomorrow. That will result in at least a couple of sunny days with highs in the seasonable low 80s. The next chance of rain is late Wednesday night into Thursday, when a one-two punch by a warm front and cold front is anticipated.
