The NYPD is searching for a 22-year-old French tourist and rapper who went missing in the Bronx on Monday.

Arthur Astie had been in the city for about a week when he disappeared. He was attempting to catch a train to Harlem, where his family was staying, but instead got lost in the Bronx, NBC reports.

Heavy reports that Astie is also a rapper, and performs under the name Ubu Omikro. According to his Facebook page, Astie/Ubu was a guest on Radio Bushwick the day of his disappearance, and spent at least part of his New York trip hanging out with the rapper Skanks The Rap Martyr.

In the days since Astie's disappearance, the hashtag #MissingUbu has taken off on Twitter, and a few missing person posters are making the rounds:

The above information conflicts with a report issued by the NYPD, which states that Astie was last seen around 11:45 p.m. on Monday, waiting for the 2 train at Park Place in Crown Heights. The NYPD also identifies Astie as brown-eyed, rather than blue.

According to the NYPD, Astie was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans and a basketball hat, and carrying a book bag. He has limited English and a heavy accent.

Anyone with information in regards to this missing is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

UPDATE: We received an e-mail from Sara Ripp, who hosts Bushwick Radio. According to Ripp, Astie was on the air on Sunday night, not Monday, but spent Monday in Crown Heights with the group Bankai Fam, which Ripp manages. Ripp told us, "He left Crown Heights at 8:30 p.m. to head to his home stay in Harlem when he got lost in the Bronx. That was his last known location."
