Have you ever watched Legally Blonde and thought, "How many young women is this movie—a testament to defying stereotypes, a deep abiding love of pink, and the bend-and-snap—inspiring at this very moment?" Well, we finally have one product of the Elle Woods Doctrine: Mindy Meyer, a 22-year-old Orthodox Jewish woman who, besides working for a real estate attorney by day and attending Touro law school at night, is running on the Republican and Conservative lines against incumbent State Senator Kevin Parker, who has a history of problems. But does she realize she'll have to go to Albany—because her site has a Photoshop of her in front of the Capitol building in... Washington D.C. (Or is this a preview to the sequel?!)

Capital New York's Azi Paybarah confirmed that Meyer's website is real and it's a doozy, with leopard-print lettering on one page and blingy lettering on another. Yes, that is electropop playing on her website—and, yes, that is a picture of her as Katniss in the Hunger Games on her "Issues" page. Meyer told City and State, "I'm trying to attract a young crowd and recruit more young people. People in politics are out of touch with the younger generation, who are not voting, are not registered... My idea is to make it very contemporary, funky, cool, not like a typical senator’s website. Have you been to Kevin Parker’s website? You could fall asleep when you go to it, everything’s just red, white and blue." Because patriotism is so boring?

The candidate, who has raised $12,000 so far, also explained, "To be honest with you, the reason why I initially wanted to attend law school is because I’d watched Legally Blonde and saw Elle Woods. The showed me you could go to Harvard and make it sophisticated. Pink is my favorite color, so that’s technically my inspiration, everything pink." And she's serious: Here's her stance on stop-and-frisk, "Stop-and-frisk is when a police officer who is suspicious of an individual detains the person and runs his hands lightly over the suspect's outer garments to determine if the person is carrying a concealed weapon... Mindy will not tolerate racially motivated stop-and-frisk."

The 21st District covers Borough Park, Parkville, Prospect Park South, Kensington, Ditmas Park, Flatbush, East Flatbush, Farragut and Remsen Village. Her website says, "Mindy intends to utilize her religious values and moral compass as her guide. 'I can tell you one thing, I have no experience in corruption,' said Meyer. 'This is how politics has to change. There is always corruption, but I have the intention to follow my values and ensure that none of what happens in my district is corrupt.'"
