Anna Gristina, the suburban mom accused of running a multi-million-dollar prostitution ring from an Upper East Side apartment, pleaded guilty today to one count of promoting prostitution. After five months behind bars, Gristina was released from Rikers in June on a reduced bail of $250,000 bail and reunited with her pigs. She could have faced up to seven years in prison on the felony charge of promoting prostitution, but the judge indicated that she'd receive less jail time if she pleaded guilty instead of going to trial.
“I would gracefully like to take your plea,” Gristina told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, the Daily News reports. She is expected to be sentenced to time served because of her stint in Rikers, and will be on probation for five years.
