There's not a lot to say about today's weather. A Midwestern high pressure system is separating us from the humidity of the past and the humidity of the future. As a result the city will see a sunny and dry day with a high temperature somewhere in the mid 80s this afternoon. The high will gradually move offshore, which means the wind will start coming out of the southeast and humid air will gradually return to the region through the day tomorrow.

A stray shower or two may pop up Tuesday afternoon but the better chance of showers and thunderstorms will be tomorrow night as a low pressure system draws closer. Some of those showers may contain heavy rain but as of now it looks like any severe weather will stay well to the west of the city. Tomorrow's high will again be in the mid 80s. More rain is expected on Wednesday, especially early in the day, as it is going to take the cold front associated with this storm a while to get here.

Once that front passes we should have a mostly sunny second half of the week. Thursday and Friday are both looking dry with highs in the 80s.
