The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York has ruled the death of 29-year-old Carlisle Brigham an accident. A spokesperson told DNAinfo that Brigham died from "blunt impact injuries of the head and neck," and that her injuries were "consistent with a fall down the stairs." Initially police believed that Brigham, who was found at the bottom of a stairwell at 191 Orchard Street, had her neck slashed due to the large amount of blood at the scene.

The Post reported earlier today that Brigham had been drinking with friends the night before she died, and a resident of the building she was staying in noted that she was wearing "really high heels."
