This holiday season, be sure to remember the neediest cases, like outgoing Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, who desperately needs validation. Markowitz's traditionally over-the-top holiday card is the perfect reminder that Brooklyn has Markowitz to thank for all of
Markowitz's Brooklyn's success during the past twelve glorious years. And judging by the card, it seems that Marty's only lasting regret is that there are too many bike lanes. Everything else is just STUPENDOUS!
Previous Markowitz holiday cards have celebrated the Barclays Center and trashed bike lanes. Last year Brooklyn had more pedestrian and cyclist fatalities than any other borough; 48 people died and 5,377 people were injured. But bike lanes are definitely the problem.
