A 42-year-old man was found dead in the bathtub of his apartment in the Financial District yesterday, and authorities say his throat was slashed.
According to the NYPD, the man's body was found at around 3:11 p.m. yesterday in his one-bedroom apartment on Greenwich Street near Carlisle Street. When cops arrived on the scene, they found him unconscious in his bathtub with a laceration to his neck. EMS workers declared him dead at the scene.
The Post reports that the man worked for the World Bank, though the NYPD has not released his identity. The tabloid also reports that a doorman discovered the man's body, and cops do not believe that the death was a suicide.
No arrests have been made, and the incident is still under investigation.
