Libraries are really supposed to be safe places. But according to the NYPD, one Queens Borough Public Library branch was anything but for one 10-year-old girl on Monday when she was sexually abused by an older man. Now cops are trying to find her attacker.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the 158-21 Jewel Avenue library branch. Police are keeping details from the public, but it appears that the girl was assaulted in the library by a Hispanic man in his 20s, approximately 5'10" and about 200 pounds. He has "a light complexion and slick black hair pulled into a bun."
