Around 8 a.m. this morning we received an alert that a man was threatening to jump from his balcony on the Lower East Side. Now the NY Post has more details (and a photo), reporting that the incident took place at 257 Clinton Street, where the unidentified man was hanging from a 16th floor balcony allegedly readying to jump. But by 9:50 a.m. he was safely in police custody after he "gave up and he decided to go back into the apartment"—not before pointing to one of the Post's photographers, however.
