A man was stabbed outside a mosque in Queens early this morning, and police are now investigating it as a possible hate crime. The incident happened in front of Masjid-al-Saaliheen on Kissena Boulevard in Flushing around 5 a.m. Sunday. The 57-year-old victim was about to walk in when he was approached from behind by the perp and stabbed multiple times in the torso.
Cops say the suspect, who is believed to be in his 40's, yelled anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic slurs at the time of the attack. The victim was taken to Queens General Hospital and is in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
