A man was stabbed when he was attacked for his iPhone at a Brooklyn subway station early this morning. According to police, the incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. at the 18th Avenue F train station in Borough Park. The Hispanic male suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the torso then ran off with his iPhone. The victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made yet.

This is just the latest attack in what seems like an endless string of iPhone thefts—back in April, a 19-year-old Bronx teen was put into critical condition after he was stabbed repeatedly during a subway fight over an iPhone. The NYPD recently revealed that thefts involving Apple products have increased 40% over the same period last year—resulting in a 4% increase in overall crime. The resale value of the iPhone 5 is up to $1000, which probably isn't helping anything.
