Police are searching for a man who assaulted a bartender with a glass after she refused to serve him.

The incident occurred on Sunday, September 18 at 11:30 p.m. at the J Jack Bar Room at 164-03 Sanford Avenue in Queens. The NYPD says the customer "grabbed the 38 year-old female victim (a bartender) by the hair and hit her in the head with a glass when she refused to serve him alcohol after he failed to pay for a previous round of drinks."

The victim was treated at Flushing Hospital for a laceration that needed five stitches. The suspect, who fled, is described as 45-50 years old, 5'7" and 170-175 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black and white baseball cap, a dark colored shirt and light colored shorts.
