Police are searching for a man who slashed a woman's throat in Queens after repeatedly asking her if she lives alone.
According to cops, the 24-year-old victim was about to enter her Elmhurst apartment building around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday when she was approached by the suspect.
He put a sharp object to the left side of her neck and demanded to know, repeatedly, whether she lived by herself before slashing her. The victim screamed and the perp took off on foot. The victim was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, standing around 5-foot-9 and weighing 180 pounds.
