And for your badass story of the day, look no further than 35-year-old tow truck driver Milton Pichardo, who was shot in the head last night in the Bronx...and still managed to walk two blocks to the 44th Precinct! What did you do last night?
According to reports Pichardo got into an argument with another man near 1370 Cromwell Avenue in the early evening. Around 9:45 p.m. he returned to the scene to try and make peace—but the other man instead opened fire, "shooting off four rounds and grazing the victim's ear and the back of his neck."
And so what did Pichardo do? Why, he walked himself over to the police station—where he was promptly moved to Lincoln Hospital and is now listed in stable condition. "He's talking a bit but I'm still worried. I'm his mother," Lely Pichardo, his mother, told the News.
"He’s a good kid, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time," Pichardo's manager at Cromwell Collision said. "He’s a good guy, a stand-up guy. He doesn’t look for trouble, nothing like that. He was just driving by, I don’t know what happened."
No arrests have been made yet and the police say the investigation is ongoing.
