Police arrested a man who allegedly raped a teenage girl at a hotel in Chelsea early Sunday morning.
The 17-year-old girl called police at 5:30 a.m., an NYPD spokesperson said, explaining that she woke up to a man, Bijan Williams, 34, having sex with her in a room of the Maritime Hotel.
She said that she did not consent at any point and the man prevented her from leaving the hotel room, she told police.
When officers arrived at the W. 16th Street hotel early Sunday, Williams was no longer in the room, but was located "in a hotel area," according to police.
The nature of their relationship is unclear, but a police spokesperson said that the two are "known to each other."
Williams was arrested and charged with rape and unlawful imprisonment.
