An armed man on a bike pulled up in front of a group of men standing on the street in Chelsea and opened fire early Saturday morning, leaving three men alive but injured, cops say.
An NYPD spokesperson said that the three victims were standing on 14th Street near 8th Avenue, when a man on a bike approached and shot the three of them. One man, a 41-year-old, was shot in the chest. Another 41-year-old was also shot in the groin and torso and a 42-year-old man was also shot in the chest.
"I was in the shop and heard four to five shots, I came out to see a guy on the ground and a black Suburban SUV running off from the scene," a witness told CBS.
According to police, the first victim was treated at the scene and taken to Bellvue Hospital by first responders, where he was listed in stable condition. The other two victims where brought to Bellevue by private means, where they were also listed in stable condition. A police spokesperson said that there are no suspects, and that an investigation is ongoing. A police source told PIX11 that the men may have been specifically targeted.
