Police in Manchester, Connecticut are investigating the deaths of three woman as well as the suicide of a man that took place last night. It's believed the man fatally shot the women before killing himself in front of police.

The shootings took place at the Dye Houses apartments (Manchester is east of Hartford) last night around 9:40 p.m. The Hartford Courant reports that police responded to calls about gunfire: "Police arrived within minutes and confronted a man in the parking lot of the apartment building who was carrying a 13-month-old child, Capt. Christopher Davis said in a statement. After a short confrontation with police, the man put the child on the ground and shot himself with a handgun. One officer fired a shot at the suspect but missed, Davis said. The toddler was unharmed."

Then the police found the three female bodies, which had gunshot wounds. The Connecticut State Police's Major Crimes Squad and State Attorney's Office are assisting the Manchester police.
