A 23-year-old man is in critical condition after he fell off a train while attempted to subway surf this weekend.
The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday near the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum station. Cops say that the victim, whose name hasn't been released, was "surfing on the side of the 2 train" when he was "struck by a pole as the train entered the station."
The man was taken to Lutheran Hospital in critical condition. According to the News, he "fell underneath the train and was clipped by its wheels."
This is just the latest such incident in which young people have made the very poor decision to try to ride the train outside the car. It's resulted in at least two deaths and several injuries in recent years.
