The body of a 30-year-old man who was fatally stabbed was found near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal early this morning, according to police.
The victim was discovered at around 2 a.m. this morning on a park bench behind the terminal and the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, where the Staten Island Yankees play. He was declared dead at the scene, and police say he was stabbed multiple times in the torso.
According to the NYPD, a person of interest was in custody as of 6:30 a.m., and ABC 7 reports that this man was intoxicated and treated for stab wounds at Richmond University Medical Center—it appears he may have gotten into a drunken fight with the victim.
