One man is dead from a gunshot wound and another is critically injured after a brawl began outside a Bronx nightclub.

According to an NYPD release, six men were assaulted at Xtreme Lounge near Fordham University shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Two of the victims, a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, were slashed in the chest and the face with a knife.

Another 26-year-old man was beaten in the head and chest with a baseball bat, which his assailant left at the scene. A 21-year-old man was shot in the leg, and another 21-year-old was shot in the head, while the slain man, 24, was shot in the chest.

All the victims were taken to Saint Barnabus Hospital. The 21-year-old shot in the head remains in critical condition, while the others are in stable condition. The name of the fatally shot man is being withheld pending family notification.

An NYPD spokeswoman says there have been no arrests.

ABC is reporting that the men's assailants fled in a "dark-colored minivan."
