One man is dead, and another man is in critical condition after police found the two stabbing victims in Williamsburg on early Sunday morning.
Authorities say they responded to a call of an assault in progress in front of 215 Heyward Street shortly after midnight on Sunday. When officers arrived, they found two men, both of whom had stab wounds. One man, a 31-year-old, had stab wounds to his torso and neck. The other man, a 29-year-old, had multiple stab wounds to his torso, neck and face.
Both men were taken to Woodhull Hospital, where the 31-year-old man, identified as Williamsburg resident Delvin Martinez, was pronounced dead. The 29-year-old victim is still alive and listed in critical but stable condition. Police haven't named a suspect yet and are still investigating the incident, but a NYPD spokesperson said that both men might have known their assailants, and were involved in a dispute with them before the stabbing.
