Less than a day after the police released his photograph, the man accused of putting his head up a woman's skirt—then beating her—at a Brooklyn subway station has been arrested.
The authorities had said that on August 8th, at 10 p.m. a 32-year-old woman was walking up the stairs at the Dekalb Avenue D and M subway station "when the suspect put his head under her skirt."
The victim tried to push him away, but police say that he "threw her down the stairs and began punching and kicking her" before fleeing. The victim was not hospitalized, but she did suffer bruises.
The Daily News reports, "Two days later, she saw [the suspect] on another train, snapped his picture and gave it to police, who released the image Thursday."
Police charged James Barnes, 61, with assault and sexual abuse.
