And this is why the idea of keeping the Jet Star roller coaster that was pushed to sea by Hurricane Sandy as a tourist attraction just can't happen. New Jersey police arrested a 38-year-old man today after he climbed the coaster and put up an American flag.

According to reports Christopher Angelo pulled off the stunt in an attempt to "raise awareness for shore recovery." Only time will tell if that worked the way he hoped it would. After drawing attention Angelo "walked from the top of the coaster and hopped into a police boat Tuesday. He was handcuffed, walked through the surf and escorted to a police car on the beach in Seaside Heights."

The thing about a roller coaster out in the middle of the ocean is it basically begs drunks and attention whores go and climb it. This guy didn't get hurt, but the next person to do so may not be so lucky!
