Man Allegedly Punched NYPD Traffic Agent After Peeing On His Tow Truck

The NYPD is looking for a man they say punched a traffic cop after the cop caught him peeing on his tow truck in Midtown this week.

Police say the incident happened on Wednesday at around 5:30 p.m., on East 39th Street near Madison Avenue. The Daily News reports that Jude Maxwell, 52, was on duty in the area when someone informed him a man was urinating on his truck. When Maxwell tried to stop the alleged urinator, the man reportedly shouted, "Shut the fuck up! You’re not a cop! Fuck traffic!" before shoving and sucker-punching him.

Though some good Samaritans apparently tried to restrain him, the suspect fled eastbound on 39th Street. Maxwell sustained minor injuries, including pain and swelling to his face.
