Cops are looking for a man they say stole a middle-aged woman's identity to obtain prescription drugs illegally. Though the NYPD has declined to offer information on the specific drugs the suspect was stealing, we're going to go ahead and say it wasn't Estraderm.

According to authorities, a 55-year-old female's identity was stolen by the suspect on December 5th, 2013, in the vicinity of the 61st Precinct in southern Brooklyn. The suspect then allegedly began calling prescriptions in to pharmacies using the various doctors' prescribing information. He would the pick up the medications using the woman's identification. It seems unnecessary to go through all that trouble to get something you can obtain from your local day care center, but who are we to judge.

The suspect was spotted by a surveillance camera at AJ's Village Chemist in Middle Village, Queens on February 19th, and cops want the public to help track him down. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers' website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
