As soon as LeBron James huffed and puffed his way off of the court following the Cavs' elimination from the playoffs Saturday night, you may have noticed a spike in the humidity with the collective panting from Knick fans now eager to begin luring the megastar toward Madison Square Garden with one year remaining until he is eligible for free agency.

While LeBron was so distraught following the loss to the Magic that he refused to talk to reporters (or even shake hands with the Magic), yesterday he continued his noncommittal stance saying, "I haven't thought about it just yet. I'm just going to take time off from basketball and not think about contracts or the game, period."

But the Post notes that he said it while wearing a Yankee cap. Could his secret coding be any clearer?! Regardless, the next date to begin serious speculation is July 18th, the first day the Cavs can offer LeBron a contract extension. Coming off a season where they had the best record in the NBA, Cleveland is expected to have some more cap muscle themselves and may make a move to put LeBron one step closer to his dynasty dreams.
