On Tuesday afternoon, four friends who work together at the Huntington, Long Island Apple Store were headed to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania when their car crashed into a tree. Police say the driver, 20-year-old Robert Felberbaum of Commack, fell asleep at the wheel. Kristin Green, also 20, was killed while Felberbaum and the two other passengers "sustained major injuries." Newsday reports that Felberbaum apparently failed to negotiate a turn on the PA Turnpike near Caernarvon Township; police report said, "The vehicle sustained severe crushing disabling damage and the roof had to be removed to assist the occupants." Felberman will be charged with careless driving and failing to stay in the traffic lane.
