A Long Island mother has been accused of driving her teen daughter to a fistfight with another girl, then jumping in to join the fight herself.

According to police, Brentwood resident Dorka Lopez, 41, drove her 15-year-old daughter to Regis Park on Thursday so she could engage in a fistfight with a rival of the same age. Cops say Lopez watched the two girls pummel each other in a crowd of 20 to 30 other teens, and eventually even grabbed the other girl's head and shoved her to the ground.

Lopez, a nursing home employee, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, along with two counts of harassment. Her lawyer says his client was trying to pacify the girls' rift. "She drove her daughter to the park so that the children and the families could amicably resolve the situation that had escalated through various emails," attorney Lawrence Carra told reporters. "The two young ladies engaged in physical contact, and she attempted to intercede to break up the altercation." She's not like a regular mom, she's a cool mom.
