CC Sabathia has pitched better games, but he was good enough Wednesday in the Yankees' 7-2 win over Texas in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series. Nick Swisher and Robinson Cano hit back-to-back homers in the third inning to blow the game open. Sabathia allowed 11 hits but only two runs in six innings. C.J. Wilson, the Rangers starter went back to his wild ways, walking four (one intentionally) in five innings of work.

Game 6 arrives Friday and features Phil Hughes against Colby Lewis. Cliff Lee looms in Game 7, which would be played Saturday night if necessary.
